Connie Sung Moyle

The Employee Spotlight is our blog series where we profile Parsable team members from around the world, with a focus on the work they are doing to improve the lives of frontline workers.

In this edition, we get to know Niloy Chakravarty, our director of global customer support!

Niloy Chakravarty

How long have you been at Parsable and what does your role here entail?

I’ve been at Parsable for more than two years and have had the privilege of moving all around our Customer Value & Adoption team. I joined as an implementation consultant, spent some time on our support team, joined the customer success management team, and am now working as the Director of Global Support.

My role now is really focused on building and driving a terrific customer support experience. At first glance, you might think that starts and ends with support tickets, but there’s actually so much more behind that. It’s actually working cross-functionally with the rest of our awesome team to enable our customers, provide them proactive communication, and ultimately provide an amazing overall customer experience.

What were you doing before joining Parsable?

I was working in technology consulting. My last project was a complete overhaul of a graphical information system for a large transmission and distribution company in Texas.

What’s your favorite part about working at Parsable?

People, people, people. Not just the people I work with at Parsable, but the customers that I’ve met along the way as well. Beyond that, I just love that I get to bring my authentic self to work everyday. I’m really encouraged to be who I am and bring what I know to the table. I get to learn from smart people of all types, and solve really complex and interesting problems.

What do you think is a key challenge affecting manufacturers today?

We’re at a point now where a previously underserved industry is really becoming empowered by technology and powered by data-driven decisions. I think a real challenge is actually putting the power of data analysis in the hands of anyone and everyone. I believe that the more people that are empowered to make educated decisions about the work they are doing, the more that they’ll actually be bought into the work itself.

One of Parsable’s values is being customer-obsessed. What does that mean to you?

To me it means thinking about the customer experience in everything that we do. Improving the customer experience should be at the forefront of functionality that we build, processes that we define and iterate on, Help Desk articles that we create, communication, etc. The single thread that we can all align on is our customers and providing them with an amazing end-to-end experience.

What do you like to do for fun outside work?

One of my deepest passions is food. We have a running joke in my family that all of our family reunions literally revolve around food. I was recently gifted an Ooni pizza oven and have spent the last two months obsessing over pizza dough. I’ve been experimenting like a mad scientist with different levels of hydration, different fermentation times, cooking times, etc., all in an effort to make the perfect pizza. Beyond that, I spend as much time outside as I can. I like to run, hike, bike and, more than anything, ski!

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

It upsets a lot of people when they find out, but I’ve been vegetarian my entire life (and proud of it)! My parents are deeply religious Hindus and it started as something that was just passed down to me that I never questioned. As I got older, I started enjoying the challenge of creating delicious, better-than-meat (yeah I said it) vegetarian food. Come over for dinner and I’ll prove it to you!
