The Employee Spotlight is our blog series where we profile Parsable team members from around the world, with a focus on the work they are doing to improve the lives of frontline workers.

In this edition, we get to know Citlalli Huerta, one of our value consultants.

How long have you been at Parsable and what does your role here entail?

I’ve been working at Parsable for two and a half years. In my role as a value consultant I get to work with Grupo Bimbo, LafargeHolcim and other leading global manufacturing companies. Working at Parsable has been an amazing journey and I’ve developed a lot of new, valuable skills.

What were you doing before joining Parsable?

Before joining Parsable I worked at Unilever for 10 years in many different roles across the supply chain. In my last role as a supply chain manager for Mexico and the Caribbean, I was the regional leader responsible for launching Unilever’s business in Cuba. Believe me, that was a big challenge!

What’s your favorite part about working at Parsable?

I love working with different industry verticals and learning about new manufacturing processes through implementing Parsable at various manufacturing plants. I’m always learning new things and I love that.

What do you think is a key challenge affecting manufacturers today?

Change management within organizations is the biggest challenge, due to all the volatility and unpredictability that we have around the world. Manufacturing companies must continue to drive their business, deliver improvements and face all the uncertainty around weather and environmental concerns, the impact of COVID-19, supply chain complexities, material and labor force shortages.

One of Parsable’s values is being customer-obsessed. What does that mean to you?

I consider myself one of the many Parsable employees that lives by this value day in and day out. It’s so important for our team to continue to convey the value-add that Parsable provides for our customers, how we impact the productivity of their manufacturing operations, safety and their bottom line.

What do you like to do for fun outside work?

I enjoy being outdoors, mainly running and biking. I’m currently training to run a marathon. Hopefully by next year we can attend events like we did before COVID-19.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

It used to be my dream to go to the Olympics and compete in pole vaulting for the Mexican national team. Sadly I missed the boat on that one, but sports still play an important role in my life.
