Employee Spotlight – Kathryn Ritchie

Anisha Padamshi

The Employee Spotlight is our new blog series where we profile Parsable team members from around the world, with a focus on the work they are doing to improve the lives of frontline workers.

In this edition, we get to know Kathryn Ritchie, our senior director of professional services.

How long have you been at Parsable and what does your role here entail?

I’ve been at Parsable for five and a half years and have always been customer-facing. In my current role, I manage our professional services. I’m ultimately responsible for defining, delivering and successfully implementing the services of our clients.

What were you doing before joining Parable?

I worked in financial services as a mergers and acquisitions consultant for small and medium financial services companies.

What’s your favorite part about working at Parsable?

My favorite part about working at Parsable is all of the great people on our team that I get to interact with on a daily basis. I’ve developed quite a few good friendships here and I love working with so many smart people.

What do you think is a key challenge affecting manufacturers today?

One of the key challenges affecting manufacturers today is the visibility and traceability of their processes. I’ve found a lot of traction in working with our customers to show them the microlearnings they can identify by using Parsable to execute their processes. I really enjoy sharing this level of data with our clients and seeing that “aha” moment for them.

One of Parsable’s values is being customer-obsessed. What does that mean to you?

From the very beginning of Parsable, we worked to build our product around our customers. Our services team has such good relationships with our customers, that we often text back and forth (sometimes about things that aren’t Parsable related). Being customer-obsessed means that we consider our customers first in everything that we do. It also means ensuring that we provide the right service offerings to our customers to help them get up and running quickly and get the most out of their solution.

What do you like to do for fun outside work?

I really enjoy golfing. Unfortunately, I don’t get to play it as much as I would like to. But, golf has always been a part of my life and I used to play in college.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I enjoy working on house projects with my husband. We’ve built most of the furniture in our living room and completely remodeled our first house on our own, including updating the flooring and tiling, redoing the bathroom, and remodeling the kitchen.
