Parsable “The Connected Worker Platform” Company Appoints Former Salesforce Executive as New Chief Product Officer
Michael Chou Will Lead Parsable’s Product Team as Demand for the Company’s Connected Worker Platform Continues to Grow at a Rapid Pace
SAN FRANCISCO – SEPTEMBER 26, 2018 – Parsable, today announced that it has named Michael Chou as its new Chief Product Officer. Chou was previously VP of Product at messaging app Symphony Communications, and was VP of Product Management in Salesforce’s Service Cloud business unit. Chou will oversee further scaling of the product organization to drive deeper customer engagement as it accelerates the growth of its platform and applications. Digital transformation of deskless workers and the rise of Industry 4.0 are both fueling interest in the “Connected Worker” space, resulting in ever more opportunities to serve more industries and customer types.
“We’re thrilled to bring Michael on board as international demand for Parsable’s Connected Worker Platform continues to grow at a significant pace,” said Lawrence Whittle, CEO at Parsable. “The days of mass manufacturing and mass servicing have a half life. Manufacturing leaders are under increasing pressure to deliver more customized/personalized, small-batch products on a much tighter timeline. Service companies need to operate in an ever competitive market where executing work correctly every time is a major margin driver. With Michael’s guidance, we plan to continue to evolve and scale our Connected Worker Platform to serve an even wider set of industry leaders by helping them make their workers safer and more efficient.”
Chou’s appointment comes at a time of significant momentum for Parsable. The company recently announced a $45M Series C investment, which was one of the largest investment rounds to date for Industry 4.0 based-digital transformation solutions.
“When I considered my next role in the software industry, I was looking for a company tackling a very large, underserved market with a mobile first and highly usable product,” said Chou. “The industrial space is uniquely intriguing to me as frontline users are, in many cases, getting the first advanced, personal computing technology their company has ever given them. This sets a high bar for usability and product fit and finish — marks that Parsable, in my view, excels at. I am excited to work with and grow a team that will expand the breadth of Parsable’s success in orchestrating complex work processes and making them simple, intuitive, and completely reliable.”
